Your tools earn nothing sitting on a shelf.
Lend the tools you are not using to neighbours who need them for a weekend. You set the daily rate, the dates, and who you lend to.
Upload a photo and the listing writes itself. No sign-up form, no password to think up. Free to list, no subscription, no listing fees.

How lending works
- 1
Upload a photo
The make, model and description are filled in from it automatically. Add your email and postcode and it saves as a draft. There is no sign-up form to get through first.
- 2
Confirm and go live
Open the link we email you, add payout details, and your listing goes out to borrowers nearby.
- 3
Approve the request
Every borrower is ID-verified before they can book, so read their reviews, say yes, and agree a collection window in the app.
- 4
Hand over and get paid
Swap photos of the condition in the booking chat at pickup and return. The borrower is charged when you accept, and the money is released to you once the booking period ends.
What happens if something goes wrong
This is the first thing most people ask, so it is not buried at the bottom of the page. The limits are stated as well as the cover.
If a tool is damaged
Eligible bookings are covered for damage to the tool itself, up to £500. It does not cover injuries or damage to anything else, which is what your home insurance is for.
If a tool is not returned
Report it and we act on the documented record: the booking chat, the handover photos, the payment history. A police report is needed for theft, because without one nothing can be followed up.
You choose who borrows
Every request comes to you first, from a borrower who is already ID-verified, along with their reviews. You can say no, and you never have to give a reason.
The money stays in the app
The borrower is charged when you accept the booking, not when they ask, so a request you decline or ignore never takes their money. It is released to you once the booking period ends. No cash changes hands and there is nothing to chase.
Condition is on the record
Swap photos or a short video of the tool in the booking chat when it changes hands, both ways. It is not a required step and nothing waits on it, but if there is ever a disagreement that is the record we look at, and the Per-Rental Contract asks both of you to do it.
Disagreements get a person
If the two of you cannot settle it, escalate to us. We respond within 48 hours and decide on the documented record, not on who shouts loudest.
The full detail, including what is not covered, is on our Trust and Safety page.
Questions lenders ask
Not to build one, no. Upload a photo of the tool, add your email address and your postcode, and the listing is drafted for you straight away. The postcode is what puts your tool in front of people close enough to come and collect it. You do need an account to publish it, but there is no sign-up form to fill in: opening the link we email you is what creates the account, and there is no password to think up. Nothing goes live until you publish it.
So the money can reach you the moment somebody books. It is a one-off: set payouts up once and every tool you list after that goes live without touching them again. Payout details are handled by Stripe, take a couple of minutes, and we never see your account number. A listing without them would take bookings we could not pay you for.
Eligible bookings carry damage cover up to £500 for the tool itself. For a tool that does not come back, report it to the police and to us, and we act on the documented record. Full detail, including what is not covered, is on our Trust and Safety page.
Search results show only the first half of your postcode. On the listing itself the full postcode is shown, so a borrower can see exactly how far they would be travelling. Your street address is never published and it is never handed over automatically. Once you have approved a booking, how the tool changes hands is your call: give the borrower your address, meet somewhere public, or drop it round yourself if they are close. You decide what to share, with whom, and when.
A daily rate is suggested for you from the photo, and for most tools it works out between 6% and 10% of what that tool costs new. Brand and condition both move it: a budget tool in fair condition sits at the bottom of that range, and a top-end trade brand in excellent condition a little above the top of it. It is a starting point rather than a rule, and you can change it. The earnings calculator will give you a feel for what a few tools could bring in over a month.
The borrower's card is authorised when they request a booking and charged when you accept it, so a request you turn down costs them nothing. The money is released to you once the booking period ends, whether the tool came back a day early or a day late. Releasing it starts a bank transfer through Stripe, which usually takes 3 to 5 business days to reach your account, so allow for that before wondering where it is. Our fee comes out of the payment, so there is nothing to pay up front, no subscription and no listing fees.
Possibly. In the UK there is a trading allowance that covers a certain amount of casual income each tax year, and many lenders stay under it. We cannot give tax advice, so if you are earning enough for it to matter, check the HMRC guidance or ask an accountant.

Take a photo. We will write the rest.
