DIY Toolshare Prize Draw Terms
From time to time, DIY Toolshare runs prize draws, giveaways, launch drops, and promotional offers for our community. These may include vouchers, tools, hampers, merchandise, or other rewards. Unless a specific promotion has its own separate terms, the terms below apply to all DIY Toolshare prize draws and giveaways.
Last updated: 30-Mar-2026
These terms apply to prize draws, giveaways, launch drops, promotional competitions, and similar prize promotions run by DIY Toolshare Ltd from time to time, unless separate terms are published for a specific promotion.
By entering a DIY Toolshare prize draw or promotion, you agree to these terms.
1. Promoter
The promoter is DIY Toolshare Ltd (company number 16526986). VAT (Value Added Tax): GB 501 7911 17. Contact: support@diy-toolshare.co.uk. We currently operate in the United Kingdom only.
2. Eligibility
Prize draws are open to UK residents aged 18 or over, unless a specific promotion states otherwise.
Employees, directors, contractors, agents, or immediate family members of DIY Toolshare Ltd are not eligible to enter.
DIY Toolshare Ltd reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it reasonably believes is fraudulent, abusive, automated, duplicated, incomplete, misleading, or otherwise inconsistent with the spirit of the promotion.
3. How to enter
Entry requirements will be explained in the relevant promotional material, website page, email, social media post, event signage, or campaign communication.
Examples of qualifying actions may include, but are not limited to:
- creating a DIY Toolshare account;
- listing tools on the platform;
- joining a wishlist or waitlist;
- completing a promotional form;
- scanning a QR code at an event;
- engaging with a launch campaign;
- completing another action clearly stated by DIY Toolshare.
Unless a specific promotion states otherwise, no purchase is necessary to enter.
Only valid, complete, and genuine entries will be included in the relevant prize draw.
4. Promotion period
Each prize draw will run for the period stated in the relevant promotional material.
If no closing date is clearly stated, DIY Toolshare Ltd will close the draw at a reasonable time after the relevant campaign, event, launch period, or monthly promotion has ended.
Entries received after the applicable closing time may not be included.
5. Prizes
The prize will be as described in the relevant promotional material.
Prizes may include, but are not limited to, gift vouchers, tools, tool bundles, merchandise, hampers, promotional items, or other launch-related rewards.
Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and no cash alternative will be offered.
DIY Toolshare Ltd reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable or if circumstances make substitution necessary.
Any third-party prize, voucher, product, or gift card may also be subject to the relevant third party’s own terms and conditions.
6. Winner selection
Unless a specific promotion states otherwise, winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received for the relevant prize draw.
Where a promotion involves skill-based judging rather than random selection, this will be made clear in the relevant promotional material.
The promoter’s decision is final.
7. Winner notification
Winners will be contacted using the details provided at entry or associated with their DIY Toolshare account.
Winners may be contacted by email, phone, direct message, or another reasonable method depending on how the entry was submitted.
If a winner does not respond within 14 days of being contacted, DIY Toolshare Ltd reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
DIY Toolshare Ltd may ask for reasonable information to verify the winner’s identity, age, eligibility, account status, or delivery details before awarding the prize.
8. Delivery of prizes
Prizes will be delivered or made available within a reasonable period after the winner has been verified and has accepted the prize.
Digital prizes, such as vouchers or gift cards, may be sent by email.
Physical prizes may be posted or delivered to a UK address provided by the winner.
DIY Toolshare Ltd is not responsible for incorrect contact details, postal delays, email delivery issues, or a winner’s failure to access, accept, redeem, or use a prize.
9. Publicity
By entering a prize draw, participants agree that DIY Toolshare Ltd may announce or publish limited winner information, such as first name, surname initial, and general location, for example:
“Sarah B. from Essex”
Winners may object to their details being published by contacting support@diy-toolshare.co.uk.
Where required, DIY Toolshare Ltd may still provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority or another relevant regulator.
10. Data protection
DIY Toolshare Ltd will process personal data for the purpose of administering the prize draw, verifying eligibility, contacting winners, delivering prizes, and complying with legal or regulatory obligations.
Personal data will be handled in accordance with the DIY Toolshare Privacy Policy.
11. Fair use and fraud prevention
DIY Toolshare Ltd may reject entries or withhold prizes where it reasonably suspects:
- fake or duplicate accounts;
- automated entries;
- false information;
- manipulation of the promotion;
- abuse of the DIY Toolshare platform;
- breach of these terms;
- behaviour that is unfair to other participants.
12. Changes, cancellation, or suspension
DIY Toolshare Ltd reserves the right to amend, suspend, cancel, or extend a prize draw where necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, technical issues, fraud, low entry volumes, prize availability, or other operational reasons.
Where changes are made, DIY Toolshare Ltd will act fairly and reasonably.
13. Liability
DIY Toolshare Ltd is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering a prize draw or accepting a prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
